Petitioner has approached this Court being aggrieved by the progress of the investigation which was registered on 20th March, 2025 relating to Narendrapur Police Station Case No.347 of 2025, although the factum of the case referred to in the FIR related to incident of 20th February, 2025.

It has been stated in the report that the complainant was served with a notice under Section 94 of the BNSS and subsequently examined by the investigating officer of the case. However, petitioner's grievance still remains as no steps have been taken against the accused persons for bringing them within the fold of law.

In view of the nature of the allegations made in the writ petition, the DSP/SDPO-in-Charge of Narendrapur Police Station will henceforth monitor the investigation of the case so that proper materials are collected by the investigating officer and every 15 days a progress report is placed before the SDPO/DSP-in-Charge of Narendrapur Police Station regarding the steps taken by the investigating officer. The SDPO/DSP-in-Charge who would be monitoring the case would ensure that any electronic evidence which is available be immediately collected so that the same is not tampered and/or wiped away with passage of time. All efforts be put in for effectively conducting the investigation to take the investigation to its logical conclusion.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 6474 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
