1. Parties are represented through their respective learned counsel.

2. Learned counsel for petitioners submits that the petitioners have requisite permission to conduct the 'mela' and also requisite clearances from all statutory bodies.

3. The petitioners have preferred a representation before police authority for providing adequate police force for smooth conduct of the mela and the said representation has not been decided.

4. Sri J.L. De, learned counsel for State submits that if petitioners are in a position to show the necessary permission and clearances from statutory bodies and submit it before the police authority, police authority will consider representation in accordance with law.

5. Learned counsel for private respondent submits that there is a civil suit between the petitioners and private respondent.

6. We are not inclined to give any finding on the said aspect and deem it proper to dispose of the writ petition by observing that if petitioners place the permission of competent authority to conduct the mela along with other statutory clearances from statutory authorities before the concerned police authority, police authority shall consider his representation immediately and pass order in accordance with law.

7. Petition is disposed of without expressing any opinion on merits.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
