Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing the police authorities on or about 16.03.2025, till date no steps have been taken in respect of the assaults sustained by the petitioner. State has submitted a report. Report reflects that on the basis of the information so furnished on 16.03.2025, English Bazar Police Station Case No.460 of 2025 dated 16.03.2025 has been registered for investigation.

Having considered that steps have been taken by the police authorities, the initial grievance of the petitioner is addressed. Police authorities are directed to put in efforts so that the investigation of the case is taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 6506 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
