Ms. Senjuti Sengupta ....for the petitioner By way of the present contempt application, the petitioner seeks implementation of the order dated February 7, 2025 passed by this Court.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has produced the order of the Appeal Court dated February 9, 2026, passed in MAT 399 of 2025. It appears that the order dated February 7, 2025 has been modified by the Appeal Court by granting liberty to the Society to initiate a disciplinary proceeding in accordance with law. However, the direction issued by this Court for payment of 25% of the back wages to the petitioner has been directed to be complied with by the appellant Society.

In my considered view, the order dated February 7, 2025 has merged with the order dated February 9, 2026 passed by the Appeal Court.

Accordingly, this contempt application stands disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application before the appropriate forum. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
