By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks for direction upon the respondent authorities, particularly, respondent no5, Block Development Officer and Program Officer under MGNREGA, Harirampur for disbursement of outstanding amount of Rs.2,00,000/-. The petitioner contends that he has participated in a bid notice published by the office of Block Development Officer, Harirampur, Dakshin Dinajpur and he was granted the supply order vide memo no.3160/Hrp dated 12th December, for construction of AWC under MGNREGA in the area of Sasha-I in Shrishi Gram Panchayat. The petitioner was allotted the said work. The petitioner has completed

such and an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- is outstanding. The petitioner made representation before respondent no.5, Block Development Officer, Harirampur, however, no steps for disbursement have been taken as yet. Hence, this writ petition.

Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that necessary direction be issued upon respondent no.5, Block Development Officer and Program Officer under MGNREGA, Harirampur for disbursement of the outstanding amount of Rs.2,00,000/-.

Learned Advocate for the State submits that due to non-availability of fund, the said amount could not be disbursed in favour of the petitioner. She files report of the Block Development Officer, Harirampur, Dakshin Dinajpur dated 21st April, 2025 which is taken on record.

Upon perusal of the report filed by the State, it is found that outstanding amount of Rs.2,00,000/- is not disputed.

Accordingly, respondent no.5, Block Development Officer and Program Officer under MGNREGA, Harirampur is directed to take steps for disbursement of the outstanding amount of Rs.2,00,000/- in favour of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from date of communication of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition being WPA 6831 of 2025 stands disposed of.

All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
