Petitioner renews the prayer for bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody in excess of 8 months. The police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State refers to the materials in the case diary. He submits that the next dated fixed is April 19, 2022 for the purpose of obtaining charges. The accused attacked the victim with acid. There are statements made recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the victim implicating the petitioner. Considering the grievous nature of the offence and considering the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the materials in the case diary and considering the fact that there is hardly any material change in circumstances subsequent to the earlier order or rejection, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (DB) 950 of 2022 is dismissed.
