The petitioner being the unmarried daughter of a deceased teacher of a Primary School under the Hooghly District Primary School Council has applied for compassionate appointment.

The said teacher had died-in-harness on February 17, 2008. The petitioner is alleging that within the specific time she had applied for such appointment but the Council has not yet attended her said application.

representation of the petitioner is pending consideration before the District Inspector of Schools (P.E) Hooghly, respondent no. 5 herein.

The petitioner is praying disposal of the said representation. The said representation dated January 28, 2010 forms part of the writ petition being annexure P-3.

The respondent no. 5 is directed to dispose of the said representation in accordance with law as expeditiously as possibly preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

W.P.A. 6523 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
