It appears from the instructions and the records of the case, that investigation is required to be conducted against the accused persons, and the evidence is located outside the city of Kolkata.

Admittedly, the Detective Department, Lalbazar, Kolkata, is better equipped to deal with the subject FIR.

In that view of the matter, it is ordered that the FIR being Jadavpur Police Station Case No.25 dated 01.02.2022, be transferred to the Detective Department of the Kolkata Police at Lalbazar.

Let such investigation be completed by the Detective Department, Lalbazar, Kolkata, within a period of two months from date, and a final report be submitted before the concerned ACJM. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
