The revisional application has been preferred challenging the continuance of Khardah Police Station Case No. 190 of 2020 dated 25.03.2020 corresponding to G. R. Case No. 2092 of 2020. Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State submits a report prepared by the concerned Officer of the Khardah Police Station. The report encloses a communication of Taniya Ghosh as well as a statement of the said Taniya Ghosh which reflects that there has been compromise between the parties and both the complainant and the accused are residing together. The report submitted by the learned advocate for the State be kept with the record.

In view of the contents of the report, I am of the opinion that if the proceedings of Khardah P. S. Case No. 190 of 2020 dated 25.03.2020 under Sections 498A/406 of the Indian Penal Code is pending within the jurisdiction of any Magistrate having jurisdiction over the Sub-Division of Barrackpore, the same would be treated to be

as quashed.

Accordingly, the present revisional application being CRR 789 of 2021 is allowed.
