Learned counsel for the bank submits that despite desperate searches being conducted, copy of the term deposit receipts of the petitioner cannot be traced out by the bank.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the original term deposit receipts are in custody of the petitioner.

Hence, the petitioner is directed to produce the original term deposit receipts before the fourth respondent - the Assistant General Manger, Central Bank of India - for taking necessary follow-up steps for the purpose of disbursement of the amount of the term deposit along with stipulated interest.

The amount lying in the savings bank account of the predecessor-in-interest of the petitioner shall also be released, subject to compliance of all necessary formalities.

Steps shall be taken by the bank at the earliest
but positively within six weeks from the date of submission of the original documents before the said respondent.

The bank is directed to intimate, in writing, the petitioner the formalities that she is required to comply for the purpose of releasing the money along with the up-to-date interest in her favour. 7.
The writ petition is disposed of.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
