The petitioner is aggrieved by the slow progress of the trial as out of six witnesses which the petitioner intends to examine before charge, only two witnesses have been examined and the next date is fixed on 14th May, 2024.

In view of the submission so advanced and as more than 6 years have passed since the initiation of the case, I direct the learned trial court to fix at least one date in every 45 days so that the evidence before charge can be concluded within a year from date. Learned trial court would thereafter consider whether on the evidence so collected charges can be framed and proceed with evidence after charge and take the case to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1052 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
