Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the payment coming into the account of the bank was not at the instance of the petitioner.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. Apparently, the petitioner is a beneficiary of public money, which the petitioner is not entitled to. The petitioner received the amount in her bank account. The petitioner is yet to return the same for a period in excess of two years.

In such circumstances, the requirement of the custodial interrogation of the petitioner cannot be ruled out.

Consequently, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1680 of 2022 is dismissed.
