Petitioners are aggrieved by the progress of Misc. Case No.25 of 2020 which is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Amta, Howrah.

The proceedings are under Section 12 of the PWDV Act and I find from the records that on 19.10.2023 records were received by the learned trial court after the revisional application being Criminal Revision No.36 of 2023 was over. Having considered that the proceedings are pending for a considerable period of time, I direct the learned trial court to fix at least one date in every two months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties. All stakeholders would cooperate with the trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1059 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
