Petitioner is aggrieved as the information which was furnished with the Inspector-in-Charge, Gazole Police Station was not acted upon. The genesis of the dispute arises from transactions relating to a property. Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State submits that on receipt of the information on or about 20.03.2025 steps were taken and notice issued to the informant. However, the same was not responded to and as such the police authorities could not proceed with the information so furnished. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would approach the jurisdictional police station.

In case the petitioner approaches with the requisite documents and on an assessment of the same the police officer enquiring the issue finds that a

cognizable offence is made out, he would proceed in accordance with the law.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 6659 of 2025 is disposed of.
