The petitioner complains to the police authorities, particularly, the Inspectorin-charge of Contai police Station relating to a club having been constructed at a burial ground thereby encroaching the property of the said burial ground.

The police authorities have done their job in respect of the resistance made by the private respondents for which the petitioner suffered injuries and, to that effect, two cases being Contai PS Case No. 622 of 2024 and Contai PS Case

No. 628 of 2024 have been registered for investigation.

The further grievance regarding encroachment of the property is concerned, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur who would assess regarding the correctness of the accusations so far as the encroachment of the property is concerned, thereafter, pass necessary directions. If required, police assistance be sought for implementation of the order of the District Magistrate.

If any application is preferred by the petitioner, the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur within a reasonable period of time would take steps in consonance with the directions passed above.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 6660 of 2025 is disposed of.
