The present revisional application relates to a proceeding in respect of Case No.S/1325/12 under Section 144(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure pending before the learned Sub-Divisional Executive Magistrate, Chandernagore, Hooghly and the same relates to private and personal dispute. Further, the said application was filed in the year 2012 and since then more than 10 years have passed.

Having regard to the statutory period involved in respect of the proceedings under Section 144 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, I am of the opinion that the proceedings before the learned Sub-Divisional Magistrate has become infructuous.

Consequently, Case No. S/1325/12 pending before the learned Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Chandernagore, Hooghly is hereby quashed.

Accordingly, CRR 528 of 2013 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently dismissed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
