Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the complainant in this case. Although the petition of complaint was filed in 2019 and cognizance was taken on 05.08.2019, till date the proceeding could not be concluded. The application under Section 205 of the accused was allowed on 19.02.2020. Thereafter, the matter has remained pending for no fault on the part of the petitioner. Long dates are being fixed. In fact, on 19.11.2020 the next date was fixed for recording of plea on 28.04.2021, after more than five months. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and have perused the revision petition. No prejudice would be caused to any one if a direction is passed for an expeditious disposal of the case.

It appears that some delay was occasioned in concluding the impugned proceeding.

In view of the above, and in the interest of justice, I request the learned Trial Court to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties and keeping in view the statutory stipulations regarding expeditious disposal of a proceeding as contained in Section 143(3) of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, is to be given to the parties upon usual undertakings. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
