This writ petition was preferred seeking a direction upon the respondent no. 4 to withdraw and/or cancel the order vide. dated 18.02.2003 and to recommend the name of the petitioner for appointment in the post of History (Pass). Selection process was initiated to fill up the post in 1998 and panel prepared for the post expired in 2000.

I am of the considered view that with the passage of time the writ petition has become infructuous. Consequently, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. (Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, J.)
