1. The supplementary affidavit as filed by the petitioner is kept on record.

2. The petitioner, a teacher in Film Studies since 2013, with the respondent no. 7, is aggrieved that in spite of fulfilling all eligibility criteria for being designated in SACT Category-I, she has been wrongfully designated under SACT Category-II.

The recommendation of the Principal of the College, as contended by the petitioner is wrongful and could not have been made.

3. A representation to such effect was also made by the petitioner on February 25, before the respondent no. 3, which has not yet been disposed of.

4. The respondent no. 3 is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated February 25, 2025 by February 25, 2026 upon giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as to

the respondent no. 8 upon adequate prior notice to such parties.

5. The respondent no. 3, upon deciding the issue will communicate his decision to the petitioner as well as the respondent no. 8 by March 20, 2026.

6. The authorities are directed to take all consequential steps, if the respondent no. 3 decides in favour of the petitioner.

7. With the aforestated direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

8. Since affidavits have not been called for, allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied.

9. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

10. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
