5, 6, 9 & 10 The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing the police authorities on or about 04.03.2025, no steps have been taken. Additionally, it has been submitted that the act and actions of the private respondent(s) amounts to a cognizable offence, yet police authorities are not taking any effective steps.

Further, it has been alleged that, till date, the petitioner is facing threats at the behest of the private respondents.

Be that as it may, State has

submitted a report which reflects that Barasat P.S. Case No. 154 of 2025 dated 25.03.2025 has been registered for investigation and the investigation of the case is in progress.

Learned advocate for the private respondent nos. 5, 6, 9 and 10 is present and submits that the petitioner has been successful in falsely implicating them. It is also submitted that the private respondent(s) have also informed police authorities, but, no steps have been taken.

Having considered the nature of the dispute and the fact that the police authorities have already taken steps, I direct that, in case, the petitioner is still facing any threat, he would take out an application before the learned jurisdictional Magistrate in seisin of the issues. The learned Magistrate would call for a threat perception report, thereafter, pass necessary directions, if required, under the

Witness Protection Scheme, 2018.

In meantime, police authorities would keep a strict vigil as also ensure that no untoward incident results because of the strained relationship existing between the parties.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 6662 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
