And In Re : Jamir Ali Mr. Santanu Talukder Mr. Indranil Roychowdhury ... For the Petitioner Zareen N. Khan Mr. Aritra Bhattacharyya ... For the State.
Report submitted by the State is taken on record. It appears from the report submitted by the learned Registrar (Judicial Service), High Court, Calcutta that a judicial officer has taken charge of the relevant Court. Learned counsel for the State submits that 9 witnesses have been examined in full and cross-examination of P.W. 10 has been deferred on prayer of some of the accused. Bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down by this Court earlier considering the material on record. Sufficient incriminating material has transpired against the petitioner prima facie suggesting his involvement in the alleged offence. Considering the same, the prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.
Learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
The application for bail is disposed of.
Case diary be returned.
Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities. (Suvra Ghosh, J.)
