The petitioner claims that the Nischinda Police Station has not taken any steps in respect of his complaint.

Learned counsel for the State has produced a report dated 21st June, 2023 issued by the Officer-inCharge, Nischinda Police Station and the same is taken on record.

It appears from the report that on the complaint of the petitioner Nischinda Police has registered FIR No.07/23 dated 23rd January, 2023.

On enquiries, the petitioner's wife stated that she has left her house along with two children unable to bear the torture and brutality of the writ petitioner. The statements of the wife and children have been recorded under section 164 of the CrPC. Nischinda Police has filed FRMF No.33/23 dated 28th February, 2023 in this regard.

On the complaint of the wife of the petitioner, Nischinda Police has registered FIR No.22/23 dated 9th February, 2023 under section 498A of the IPC. The investigation is on.

It is ordered that the investigation into the FIR No.22/23 be completed mandatorily and positively within a period of two months from date.

The writ petition is disposed of.

8.

There shall be no order as to costs.
