IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA

Special Civil Jurisdiction APPELLATE SIDE (Via Video Conference) WPCRC 6219 of 2004 In WPA 8025 of 2002 Manjura Khatun & Ors.

Vs.

Jaya Dasgupta & Ors.

Mr. Md. Sarwar Jahan ... For the petitioners.

The contempt application arises out of an interim order dated 20th June, 2002 passed in WP 8025(W) of 2002. The operative portion of the said order is as follows:

"However, for the time being, no effect or further effect of the new panel, if any, will be given during the course of existing panel in the post of Anganwadi Workers".

On behalf of the petitioner it is submitted that the contempt petition has become infructuous with the passage of time. The main writ petition, being WP 8025(W) of 2002 is, however, pending and requires to be heard.

The contempt proceeding is thus dropped. The contempt application is disposed of without any further order. Rule stands discharged.

So far as the writ petition is concerned, this

Court does not have the determination to hear out the same. The Registry is directed to delink the main file pertaining to WP 8025(W) of 2002 from the contempt petition and take appropriate steps in respect there of. (Arindam Mukherjee, J.)
