There is a delay of 10 days in preferring the appeal. In view of the agony expressed by the appellant and the reasons which have been assigned, I am of the view that the same are just and sufficient. As such, the delay in preferring the appeal be condoned. Thus, CRAN 1 of 2026 is allowed.

In Re: CRMSPL 16 of 2026 The Special Leave to Appeal has been preferred against the judgment and order passed under Section 256 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Having regard to the subject matter against which the applicant has prayed for Special Leave, I am inclined to allow the prayer for preferring the memorandum of appeal. Accordingly, the applicant will file memorandum of appeal within the statutory period.

Thus, CRMSPL 16 of 2026 is disposed of.
