Hossain ... for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Anand Keshari Ms. Debadrita Mondal ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been implicated in the present case for alleged recovery of 35 bottles of phensedyl. The petitioner is in custody since 24th December, 2025. The investigating agency after conclusion of investigation submitted charesheet, as such, further detention of the present petitioner is unwarranted.

Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there are criminal antecedents of the present petitioner. Be that as it may, there are eight witnesses on which the prosecution has relied upon and the same will take some time to take the same to its logical conclusion.

Having considered the same, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Dhananjoy Bhowmick @ Motabhai shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Learned Judge, Special Court under NDPS Act, Raiganj, Uttar Dinajpur.

If on bail, the petitioner shall also make himself physically available on each and every date so fixed by the learned Special court and shall not leave the district of Uttar Dinajpur without prior intimation to the learned Special court.

Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 550 of 2026 is allowed. Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.
