The matter was argued at length on the last occasion when it was adjourned since an issue was sought to be raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner regarding quantum of punishment, which was not raised by the petitioner before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Kolkata Bench (hereinafter referred to as the 'C.A.T.').

The learned counsel for the petitioner has come back with instructions today and submits that he would be raising the issue of quantum of punishment being excessive and disproportionate to the gravity of the offenses for which the petitioner was proceeded against; and in this connection he would be referring to the punishment granted to others in relation to the same alleged misconduct, but before the C.A.T. by filing a review application.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of such submission and with such liberty, the present writ petition being W.P.C.T. No. 66 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
