The writ petition is disposed of with the direction upon the respondent no. 3 to renew the petitioner's passport, upon receiving a duly filled in copy of the form, in the permissible mode along with other related documents, as required by the Authority. The renewed passport shall be deposited in the Court where the proceedings are pending, upon receipt of the same by the petitioner. As the learned Criminal Court has not specified the period of validity of the passport, the passport shall be renewed for one year. 2.

The petitioner is granted liberty to approach the respondent no. 3 with a server copy of the order so that the petitioner may be apprised of the procedure to be followed while making such application, if the petitioner is not conversant with the system. 3.

If all conditions are complied with by the petitioner, renewal of the passport shall be effected within two months.

WPA No. 7313 of 2024 is, thus, disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
