Mr. Saikat Banerjee ... for the High Court Administration The petitioner has been issued revised Pension Payment Order on 28th October, 2016 based on the recommendation of the Shetty Commission implemented by the State of West Bengal. The petitioner was working as Bench Clerk under the Civil Judge (Junior Division), Second Court at Katwa, in the then Judgeship at Burdwan District now Purba Burdwan.

The petitioner retired from service on 28.02.2008. Despite revised Pension Payment Order, District Judgeship has not assessed the arrears payable to the petitioner.

In those circumstances, the respondent no. 7 shall calculate the arrears payable in favour of the petitioner pursuant to the revised Pension Payment Order dated 28th October, 2016 within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Upon calculation thereof, the same shall be sent to the Treasury Officer(1), Purba Burdwan/respondent no. 9 who shall take steps for issuance of sanction thereunder within a period of one month thereof.

The respondent no. 7 after receipt of sanction shall release the arrears to the writ petitioner.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition is disposed of.

No order as to costs.
