Matter is taken up for consideration in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner, State respondents and Election Commission of India pursuant to the order dated 24th March, 2026.

Mr. Rajat Datta, learned advocate representing the State respondents has placed before this Court a report of Deputy Inspector of General of Police (Legal), West Bengal signed on 26th March, 2026 enclosing list of criminal proceedings pending against the petitioner and same is taken on record. 3.

Copy of the said report along with list of criminal proceedings pending against the petitioner is made over to Mr. Billwadal Bhattacharyya, learned senior advocate representing the petitioner.

In view of such report dated 26th March, 2026 disclosing list of criminal proceedings pending against the petitioner in State of West Bengal

excluding the jurisdiction of Kolkata Police, filed today grievance of the petitioner appears to have been redressed.

No further order need be passed on this writ petition.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

However, leave is granted to the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law, if situation so arises. 8.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
