Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that all other co-accused were granted bail. The police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required. The petitioner surrendered after rejection of the prayer for anticipatory bail. Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention to the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The victim is a minor.

In her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, she implicates the petitioner squarely in her kidnapping.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.
