1. The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the respondent to dispose of her representation sent through a solicitor firm on 12.2.2024. We find that the representation addressed to the Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge, Government of West Bengal and in the representation given through the solicitor firm the relief sought for is to enact a law prohibiting marriage of Muslim women unless they complete class 12.

Firstly, the representation given to the Hon'ble Minister cannot be disposed of by issuing a writ of mandamus. In any event, this matter pertains to a policy matter and no writ of mandamus can be issued.

2. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is dismissed.
