Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 83 days. The police filed charge-sheet and further detention of the petitioner is not required.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention to the statement of the husband of the victim recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and to the injury report of the victim. The doctor recording the injuries of the victim, notes that the victim claimed that she caught fire in front of the petitioner and that the petitioner locked the door. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.
