Arpita Ghosh (Biswas) Mr. Dhananjay Nayak ...for the petitioner This application under Article of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the father and is directed against an order being No.28 dated December 12, 2024 passed by the learned Additional District Judge, 15th Court, Alipore in Act VIII Case No.89 of 2021.

The petitioner filed an application before the learned Trial Judge praying for changing the school of the child from Bengali Medium to English Medium. The learned Trial Judge took note of the fact that the child at present is reading in Bengali Medium for last couple of years and the child also expressed her desire to continue study in Bengali Medium and also expressed her unwillingness to continue study in English Medium school.

After considering the wishes of the minor the learned Judge refused to allow the prayer of the petitioner for changing the school of the minor from Bengali Medium to English Medium.

This Court does not find any reason to interfere with such exercise of discretion by the learned Trial Judge.

For such reason this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order impugned, CO 1068 of 2025 accordingly stands disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
