Trial has not commenced. He prays for bail.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the bail prayer. We have considered the materials on record. Victim housewife was throttled to death at the matrimonial home. Petitioner who is her husband was present at the place of occurrence. He has offered no explanation regarding the homicidal death.

In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and the gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

Trial court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within two years from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
