The petitioner is a sixth semester student of B.Sc. (General).

It is the grievance of the petitioner that though he has appeared in the internal assessment for Population Geography, the college mistakenly showed him as absent in the said examination.

The college by filing affidavit has admitted its mistake. The relevant part of the affidavit filed by the principal is quoted below :

"That in pursuance of the Order dated 04/04/2023 as Your Lordship directed to submit affidavit, I have already submitted the Affidavit in Opposition on April 13, 2023 stating all material facts therein but I forget to state and submit the actual marked obtained by the petitioner in Internal Assessment Examination for GEOG-DSE-B2, B.Sc. Semester

-VI (General) Examination (under CBCS), 2022, where the petitioner appeared in the examination and submitted the papers in email ID of the concern website and performed very will in the subject, and if the script had been checked the aggrieved student should have been awarded 18 marks out of the 20."

In that view of the matter, the college shall send the necessary documents to the controller of examination, respondent no. 3 within a period of one-week from date. The university will take steps in accordance with law to issue a rectified marksheet in favour of the petitioner within two weeks thereafter.

WPA 7040 of 2023 is disposed of.
