Mr. Sagnik Chatterjee, learned advocate for the State-respondents submits that the report as directed by the order dated March 20, 2024 is not yet ready, be that as it may this Court decides to dispose of the matter without such report.

The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Sadhanpur Vivekananda High School (H.S), District-Purba Bardhaman of the subject Sanskrit. The petitioner is praying higher scale of pay on enhancement of her qualification in the relevant subject.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that, in fact, his client was pursuing her such higher qualification before joining the service and has completed the same while in service.

It appears from the record that the District Inspector of Schools (S.E), DistrictPurba

Bardhaman, the respondent no.3 herein, under his Memo No. 1779 dated August 17, 2022 has sought for necessary instruction from the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 2 herein, regarding the fixation of such higher scale of pay of the petitioner.

The petitioner is complaining that the referred issue has not yet been disposed of by the said respondent no.2.

W.P.A. 7447 of 2024 is, therefore, disposed of by directing the respondent on.2 to dispose of the referred issue as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents. Parties to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
