1. Petitioner contends he is a resident of Manipur. Due to the conditions of bail imposed upon him, he is unable to return to his home and hearth. There is no possibility of trial concluding in the near future.

2. In view of the aforesaid submission, we called upon the State to submit a report with regard to the status of the trial.

3. State has submitted report.

4. From the report, we note prosecution proposes to examine ten witnesses. Only one witness has been examined. Hence, there is little possibility of trial concluding in the near future.

5. Petitioner has been away from his home and hearth for more than a year.

6. Under such circumstances, we waive the condition of bail imposed upon the petitioner that is, to remain within the municipal limits of Kolkata and to meet the Officer-inCharge of STF Police Station once a week. We direct the Signed By :

petitioner to meet the Officer-in-Charge, STF Police Station once a month until further orders.

7. Petitioner shall appear before the trial court on every day of hearing.

8. Other conditions shall remain the same.

9. IA No.:CRAN 2 of 2024 in C.R.M. (NDPS) 482 of 2023 is disposed of.
