Petitioners are working as primary teachers in their respective schools situated in same district of Hooghly.

It is submitted that both the petitioners are confirmed primary teachers and they have made application seeking mutual transfer.

The grievance of the petitioners is though application is pending before the Chairman,, DPSC, Hooghly being respondent no.6 but till date no decision is taken.

District Primary School Council, Hooghly is represented by learned advocate.

West Bengal Board of Primary Education and State respondents are represented by learned advocates.

On consideration of the submissions made on behalf of the parties it appears that mutual transfer application made by the petitioners are pending before the respondent no.5.

Hence, respondent no.5 is directed to take decision on mutual transfer application of the petitioners in accordance with law by six weeks from the date of communication of this order and the decision shall be communicated to the parties by fortnight thereafter.

The Writ petition being WPA 6704 of 2025 is accordingly disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
