Mr. Manojit Pal ...for the petitioner Ms. Suvasree Ghose ..for CESC Limited Mr. Gourav Das Mr. Swapan Kumar Pal ..for the State The petitioner seeks a separate electricity connection for his shop located at 1123, Joyrampur Jala Road, P.S. Parnasree, Kolkata-700060.

Learned counsel for CESC Limited submits that a separate service connection cannot be provided to the petitioner, as a service connection already exists at the said premises.

Further, it is submitted by CESC Limited that a loop meter can be installed at the existing meter board to facilitate the service connection for the petitioner's shop.

In light of the foregoing, the Court directs that a loop meter be installed and the electricity connection be provided to the petitioner's shop within a period of one

month from the date of this order, subject to the petitioner's compliance with all necessary formalities. In the event of any resistance from other shop owners at the premises, CESC Limited shall have the liberty to seek police assistance from the concerned police station, at the petitioner's cost.

Accordingly, WPA 6901 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
