The learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for a considerable period of time and the instant case was initiated on the basis of a complaint filed by the wife of the present petitioner. He submits that taking into consideration, the period of detention as also the stage of the case, the petitioner may be released on bail.

Mr. Ahmed, learned Advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and draws the attention of this court to the seizure list and submits that all the documents were false on the basis of which the petitioner tried to impress upon the Indian Authorities for staying in India.

Having regard to the nature of the allegations and the gravity of the offence and more particularly that the allegations related to forged documents which were the foundation of the petitioner's stay in India, we are not inclined to release the present petitioner on bail at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM No.3466 of 2020 and CRAN/1/2020(Old No. CRAN

1770/ 2020) are disposed of.
