Petitioner is in custody since 2018. There is delay in trial. He prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He submits three out of twelve witnesses have already been examined.

We have considered the materials on record. There are materials connecting the petitioner with the murder. Trial is in progress. Three witnesses have already been examined. Under such circumstances though we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, we direct the trial court to conclude the trial at an early date preferably within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Parties shall communicate this order to the trial court for necessary compliance.
