The allegation of the writ petitioners was that the alleged contemnor has violated the order dated January 11, 2021 passed in WPA (P) 4 of 2020, by not filing the report that he was directed to file by the said order. Accordingly, the contempt application was taken out.

Today, learned Advocate for the alleged contemnor files a report signed by the District Magistrate and District Programme Coordinator, MGNREGA, South 24 Parganas. Let the report be kept with the records of the writ petition. Learned Advocate for the petitioners has received a copy of the report.

Since the report has been filed, the order dated January 11, 2021 stands complied with. We see no reason to keep the contempt application pending.
