Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner, State respondents and private respondents.

It is submitted by the learned advocate representing the petitioner that a complaint was lodged on 9th June, 2022 against the private respondents based on which FIR was registered and criminal prosecution being Kasba P.S. Case No.185 dated 10th June, 2022 was initiated under certain provisions of IPC.

On behalf of the petitioner, dissatisfaction is expressed regarding manner of investigation in connection with aforesaid criminal prosecution by the Investigating Agency. Petitioner also prays for return of certain goods which are lying with the respondent no.5.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication dated 9th April, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Kasba Police Station, Kolkata and same is taken on record. Copies of the said communication dated 9th April, 2026 are made over to the learned advocates representing the petitioner and the private respondents.

Since FIR was already registered and aforesaid criminal prosecution was initiated, Investigating Officer is directed to expedite the investigation and submit a report before the jurisdictional Magistrate at an early date.

Liberty is also granted to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate, if occasion so arises. 8.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
