Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record.

The petitioner has applied for conversion from CPF to GPF on account of service of her late husband, Pulin Chandra Maity.

This Court has held in the case of Jyotsna Mahata Vs. the State of West Bengal and others in WPA 25476 of 2023 dated 20.12.2023, relying upon the case of State of West Bengal and others Vs. Sefali Jana and others dated 24th August, 2023 that the petitioner shall be entitled to seek such conversion.

A Special bench of this Court in M.A.T.

No. 1518 of 2019 (The State of West Bengal & Ors. - Vs. - Sabita Roy) it was held that an unmarried

daughter is also entitled to pension on account of the service of her father.

In that view of the matter, the respondents shall process the application of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible. Upon the petitioner complying with all formalities including the deposit with interest and additional interest, let P.P.O. be issued in favour of the petitioner within a period of one month thereof.

Let arrear of pension from the date of death of the employee be released to the petitioner within two months from date.

7.

The writ petition is disposed of.

8.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
