1. This revisional application is directed against an order dated January 14, 2026 passed by the learned Judge, Bench-VI, City Civil Court, Calcutta in Money Suit No.788 of 2023 whereby all further proceedings of the said suit have been stayed.

2. Having heard the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner and having perused the material on record, this Court is unable to find any ground to interfere with the order impugned.

3. The learned Trial Court has recorded that an application under Section 7 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 filed against the opposite party herein has been admitted by the National Company Law Tribunal, Kolkata on August 28, 2023 whereupon, CIRP proceedings have been initiated,

4. Learned Trial Court has recorded that the Resolution Professional appeared before the learned Trial Court and submitted that suit cannot be proceeded in view of the moratorium that has taken effect upon admission of the petition under Section

7 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. The learned Trial Court has, therefore, stayed the proceedings of the suit and directed the records to put up after receiving the order from the National Company Law Tribunal. There is nothing wrong in the order impugned. Since the order impugned suffers from no illegality or material irregularity, the same is not interfered with.

5. With the aforesaid observations, CO 1071 of 2026 stands dismissed. No costs.

6. This order shall not preclude the petitioner from taking appropriate steps, in accordance with law.

7. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied as expeditiously as possible. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
