The victim in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code claims that she was kidnapped and raped.

The victim underwent a medical examination. Her claim stands corroborated apparently, from such report. The victim names the petitioner as the perpetrator. In view of the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (A) 1218 of 2023 is dismissed.
