Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 216 days. The subjectmatter of the case relates to alleged recovery of 1900 bottles of Phensedyl. There has been no recovery from the present petitioner and only one witness till date has been examined while the prosecution intends to examine 18 witnesses. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the vehicle from which recovery was effected, belongs to the wife of the present petitioner.

Having considered the quantum of seizure of contraband in the present case, I direct the prosecution to

examine the seizure list witnesses at the earliest. At this stage, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 561 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed.
