Learned counsel appearing for the alleged contemnor hands over a communication dated February 12, 2025 and submits that pursuant to an order of this Court dated January 10, 2025, the due amount has been paid to the petitioner on February 4, 2025, that is, much prior to the outer timeline of February 12, 2025 stipulated by this Court.

Such communication be kept on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that due to long withholding of the amount, interest also ought to have been granted.

However, since there was no direction to pay interest in the parent order, this Court, sitting in a contempt jurisdiction, cannot go beyond the jurisdiction

of its domain and carve out any further relief in the parent order.

In view of the compliance as indicated above, WPCRC 135 of 2024 is discharged.

Accordingly, CPAN 1101 of 2024 is also disposed of.

Since an appeal is pending against the parent order, it is made clear that the disbursal of the amount in favour of the petitioner shall be subject to the outcome of the said appeal and will be without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties in the appeal.
