1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2) Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that petitioner is victim of cyber fraud. Incident happened on 4th July, 2025 and thereafter complaint was lodged on National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (for short, "NCRP"). It is contended that based on complaint lodged on NCRP, concerned police authorities are required to take immediate steps to facilitate the petitioner to get back his sum which was siphoned off from bank account.

3) Mr. Banerjee, learned Additional Government Pleader appears on behalf of the State respondents and has placed before this Court a communication dated 30th March, 2026 of Inspector of Police, Officer-inCharge of Cyber Crime Police Station, Diamond

Harbour Police District and same is taken on record. Copy of said communication is made over to learned advocate representing the petitioner.

4) It is disclosed in said communication that concerned bank authorities were requested to provide details as well as particulars of beneficiary accounts. Steps are being taken to debit freeze suspected accounts. Certain persons were identified and notices under section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 were issued to them. At the same time, it is disclosed in said communication that on field verification through the jurisdictional police stations said persons could not be traced out.

5) In view of communication dated 30th March, 2026 it emanates that certain steps have been taken by the concerned police authorities based on complaint lodged by the petitioner on NCRP alleging cyber crime. At this stage, concerned police authority is directed to submit status report before the jurisdictional Magistrate at an interval of three months.

6) Writ petition stands disposed of.

7) Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
