The grievance of the petitioner of the inaction of the authorities in renewing the petitioner's Gun Licence may be addressed in the following manner:

According to learned counsel appearing for the State, the requisite documents, namely, gun deposit slip, reasons as to why the petitioner could not apply within time and the deposit fees are yet to be put in by the petitioner. There is no dispute on this score. W.P.A.6648 of 2022 is accordingly disposed of with a direction on the respondents to dispose of the application for renewal of the petitioner's Gun Licence within a period of four weeks from the day on which the petitioner deposits the required documents as stated in the letter of the respondents dated 5th May, 2022.
